H.H The Rajmata of Kangra, Shailerdra Kumari was born the princess of Tehri Garhwal. She is one of the few personalities in India who have actually see the Raj period and had seen her husband rule a state. She is a very religious person and resides at the Kangra Mandir [ haveli ] in Haridwar, a religious Hindu center in India.

Maharaja Aditya Katoch, is the 488th Raja of Kangra [ in leniel desent ]. He is the head of the Katoch clan, " the Katoch clan is considered to be the purest amoungst the pure Rajput clan's in India. Many Rajput clan's claim desent from the Katoch clan. The head of the Katoch clan is lso considered the head of the Chandervanshi and Bhumivanshi Rajputs [ The Katoch clan Goter is " Kashyap " ].
Maharaja Aditya Katoch, who is fondly called Raja Sahib by the people of Kangra, he is actively involved in the up liftment of the region of Kangra and its people. He had contested elections for the member of the Himachal Legislative assembly in 1990. Raja Sahib is currently involved in looking after the family owned orchard's [ mango and leeche plantation's ] and commercial forests [ bamboo and katha plantation's ] in Maharaj Nagar. He has also successfully converted his hobby " jewellery" into a business. In 1989 he converted his summer home clouds end villa in Dharamsala [ head quaters of H.H The Dalai Lama ] into a heritage hotel.

Maharani Chandresh Kumari, born the eldest daughter of the house of Jodhpur . She is a graduate from the Jodhpur University. She joined active politcs in 1972, as an elected member of the Himachal legislative assembly.
1977 :- Appointed Deputy Minister for Tourism and Public Relations in the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
1980 :- Appointed as member of the All India Congress Committee.
1982 :- Re-elected as a member of the Himachal Legislative Assembly.
Appointed Minister of State for Tourism, PWD, Youth Welfare and Sports, Parliamentry affairs.
1984 :- Elected as Member of Parliament [ Lok Sabha ] from the Kangra-Chamba constituency.
1985 :- Appointed as Joint Secretary of the All India Congress Committee.
1986 :- Appointed as General Secratary All India Mahila Congress.
1996 :- Elected as Member of Parliament [ Rajya Sabha ]. Apointed as Member of All India Animal Welfare Board.
1998 :- Appointed Deputy Chief Whip of Rajya Sabha.
1999 :- Appointed President All India Mahila Congress.
2003 :- Elected as Member of the Himachal Legislative Assembly.
Appointed as Cabinet Minister for Health and Family Welfare in the Government of Himachal Pradesh [ till July 2004 ].
2004 :- Currently Member of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
Maharani Chandresh Kumari has also held the Chairmanship of Royal Expeditions Pvt.Ltd [ since 1992 ].
She is very fond of animals and has successfully run a dog kennel and a dairy farm.

Their son Tikaraj Aishwarya Katoch born 16\01\1970, is also actively involved with politics, social welfare, and the various family businesses. He completed his primary education from Modern School Delhi and secondary education from Mayo College, Ajmer. In school he was appointed College Monitor and Atheletics Captain [ for his house ]. He also played District level football and recieved prize's in Arts. He also won the All Round Improvement Prize [ the Carlyel Cup ] in 1988.
In 1992 he completed his graduation in Business Administration, Merchandise and Fashion from the American College for Applied Arts in London, U.K. While in England Tikaraj [ along with his studies ] worked as Assistant Merchandiser for :-
* Coach Leatherware Men's accessories.
* Hermes, Silk and Parfume Department.

Assistant Buyer :-
* Harrod's [ men's wear ].
On his return to India he worked with :-
* Francis Wacziarg buying house as Merchandiser [ new products ].
* Manager Salora Garments Export Division.

He is Patron of the Desert Vikas Samity.

Tikarani Shailja Kumari, born the eldest daughter of the house of Sailana. She is a Graduate in Econonic Honors from St.Xavers Ahmedabad. She is a Director of Kangra Hotels Pvt.Ltd and also runs a Primary School in Dharamsala " Happy Hours Public School ". She also started an educational program where volenteers from U.K come to the villages in Kangra and teach English and related subjects to the children studing in the under previleged school's for free [ www.aventure.co.uk  ].



They have a son Tika Ambikeshwar [ born 22\12\1998 ]. He is currently studing in DPS International, New Delhi. Tika Ambikeshwar has already passed his Green Belt in Taekwondo. He is also taking professional coaching in Horse Riding, Tennis, Swimming, Skating, Dance, Cricket, Billiards, 10 pin bowling and Computer Sciences.
